To evaluate the impact of muscle contractility loss in neuromuscular disorders and the aging process, we measure in vivo plantarflexion muscle torque during twitch and tetanic contractions. These assessments help to identify the extent to which muscle strength and responsiveness are affected, offering insights into the functional declines associated with these conditions.
